COSTS
The Dental Clinic at Roseman University is an affordable option for your family’s dental needs in the Salt Lake valley. We offer care at rates that are typically lower than what you would find at a traditional dental office because our care is provided by student dentists in their third and fourth years of thorough training in our Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program. All care is supervised by faculty members who are licensed dentists in Utah.
Your initial appointment is intended to determine your eligibility for future treatment at The Dental Clinic at Roseman University. If accepted as a patient, and when time allows, you may be able to get your x-rays completed during the same appointment. Otherwise you can schedule your x-rays and comprehensive exam for a future time. If you decide to get the x-rays on the same day as the screening, payment for these services will be collected at the check-out desk.
During every appointment, we keep you informed about what we are doing and why. Findings from your examination are discussed with the faculty member supervising the work, and then your student dentist will go over the treatment plan options, carefully explaining exam results, anticipated costs, and the time frame or scheduling to complete the work. There is no obligation to continue treatment, and nothing happens until you agree to the plan.
Fees for dental care must be paid at the time of service. We accept cash, most credit cards, and debit cards. Checks* accepted after patient becomes an established patient. *Checks – restrictions apply, ask for details upon checkout
Please note that while dental care is significantly discounted at The Dental Clinic at Roseman University, we are not able to provide it free of charge.
INSURANCE
Dental insurance is not required for treatment, and we can accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards. We also accept Medicaid for procedures that are covered under that plan. If you have private dental insurance, we would be happy to provide you with a claim form that you can submit to your insurance company following your treatment to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider. Since we offer dental care at very competitive rates that are far below the traditional costs you would find in a dental office, we cannot bill your dental insurance provider directly. It is a good idea to call your insurance provider in advance to find out what procedures are approved under your plan.
